8 STRING TENOR UKULELE BRIDGE REPAIR

I had to repair my beautiful 8 string tenor ukulele.

I Loved playing it.  It had a lovely sound until one day ....

I opened the case one day and saw this!  The bridge had popped off.  A combination of poor workmanship and tension of all those strings.

I had to rack my brains and search the internet for a solution.  I didn't fancy the idea of just gluing it back on.  It would probably pop off again.  I looked at other instruments with many strings and noticed that the mandolin had a tail piece.  That seemed the best solution.
Now she is mended.  All the strain is taken by the tailpiece.  Bridge glued back with Tuffbond. A new set of strings and she plays as well as before.
