I LOVE THE UKULELE

I LOVE THE UKULELE!

Creation of Adam with ukulele.

Venus playing an electro 'heart' ukulele.

I also got this Roland Micro Cube to go with the Lanikai.  They work really well together.  It works from battery and mains with an adapter.  The uke can sound not only louder but it has all sorts of effects that change its sound.  It can sound like an electric guitar.  They sound really well together.

I'm sooo  excited at my new  Lanikai LU ukulele at present winging its way over from Shanghai. It has a high gloss black body with stylish pearly banding.  They're including a set of Aquila strings which are my favourite.  The electro part is something I've never used but I can see there's a lot of fun to be had.  Can't wait to play it.

My Friday singing group 'Warblers On't Wyre' just after a gig.

This is a lovely concert uke designed by Greg Bennett and made by Samick. It's light but robust and goes with me almost everywhere. The sound is rounder than a smaller soprano.  I didn't like the strings that came with it.  They were too soft and smooth.  I got some Aquilla strings that are a little rough to the touch and give a brighter sound.

Here's Bugs Bunny playing one of these, pity his companion isn't a fan!

I have a love of ukuleles.  It's such a fun instrument and so easy to play.

This is a tenor 8 string Taisamlu, wasn't sure when I got it but it's got a lovely tone and I love the design.
